DesignElement

A Design Element is a building block of a microarray. It can be either a Feature which is the same as a spot on the array or a Reporter which represents the actual sequence present in the spot. Each Feature (Spot) corresponds to a unique Reporter. But each Reporter can have many replicate Features.
