This page is for submitting the data of your target (RNA) production. Fill out every field marked with a red star (required fields). If you just want to enter the data of one target do not fill any of the fields of target2. An error message will appear on top of the page either if you have submitted data in the wrong format or did not fill all required fields. The fields that were filled with the wrong data are highlighted in red.

Required fields

The following fields are required, at least for one RNA set

  • Date: date of the target preparation
  • Operator: the person who performed the target preparation (already filled out, only change this if the person who performed the preparation is not the same who is currently logged in!)
  • Polymer type: whether your target was extracted from a RNA or DNA.
  • Organism: the organism from which the target was extracted (default is "None". Make sure you selected the correct organism)
  • Tissue and strain: the tissue the target was prepared from or the micro-organism strain used to prepare the target
  • Growth conditions: the biological conditions the tissues were harvested / the strains were grown. The more detailed and informative your description, the better
  • Volume: the total volume of the produced target in µl
  • Concentration: the concentration of the target in µg/µl
  • Target ID: ID, e.g.: unique identification of your target
  • Preparation protocol: select an existing protocol (default is "None") or upload a new one in .pdf format
  • Protocol description: only required if a new protocol is uploaded. The description you enter will become the protocol name
  • Abstract of the protocol: only required if a new protocol is uploaded. The abstract is needed for the MAGE-ML export in EMMA. Please fill in a short abstract of the protocol. The abstract should embody all important information of the protocol.

It's also possible to upload images of the target on a separation gel. If you do so you have to fill in these fields:
  • µl (target1 loaded): how much of target1 was loaded to the gel
  • Gel type: what kind of gel was used

Optional fields

You may also add some additional data for your RNA production

  • o.D.260/o.D.280: optical density values
  • o.D.260/o.D.230: optical density values
  • Remarks: some remarks of your target production
  • Gel image: you can upload the photo of the target on a separation gel
