Activating Java 1.6 on Mac OS X
Mac OS X 10.5 uses Java 1.5 by default.
The Java 6 implementation of Apple is currentky only available for Intel-Macs with 64-bit-processor (Core2Duo and newer). 32-Bit-CoreDuos and PPC-Macs are not supported by Apple.

- Open -> Applications -> Utilities -> Java -> Java Preferences.app

- Drag 'Java SE 6' to the top in both lists (see screenshot)
