Request access to a project

First you need to login onto GPMS. Please have a look at this page. The main page will look like this screenshot. File:GPMSWiki$$WebRequestAccess$mge portal request accessGPMS.png

On the left inside you can click on the link "Request Project Access" with the Action menu.

Inside the new page, if you are a MGE member, you can request access to those MGE projects by clicking on the "access arrow", for example the project EMMA::MGE-course-01. The request membership form will look like this:

Once you click on "request", the following message appears:

A email will be sent automatically to the chief of the project.

You will then receive a email from GPMS as below:

Once the request has been approved by the chief, you will get another email as below:

Requests for Membership (when someone requests access to a project where you are chief)

  • If there is a request access to your project, as a chief you will receive a email from gpms[at]cebitec.uni-bielefeld.de with for example the following:

subject: GPMS SAMS_MGE_name_project admin request waiting

Dear Project Chiefs,

a new user request for project SAMS_MGE_name_project is waiting for your consideration

Please attend to this at your earliest convenience.

  • As the chief of the project, you have to login to the General Project Management System (GPMS) where you should see this user request in the general info page. click on the link. You will then have the info about the MGE member requesting access and there you can grant or deny this access. The user will then receive an automatic e-mail with the notification whether the request has been accepted or denied.

Click on the link to process. The following window will appear: File:GPMSWiki$$WebRequestAccess$request waiting2.png

Select "Approve", "Deny" or "Discard" and the role in Project (Annotator, Chief, Developer, Guest or Maintainer) if you have selected "Approve". Then click on the "Apply" button.The following window will then appear: File:GPMSWiki$$WebRequestAccess$request waiting3.png

If there is no pending requests, the window will look as below: File:GPMSWiki$$WebRequestAccess$request access.png
